Fraud Investigator

This position will perform a wide variety of duties to support the Fraud Department functions.   Emphasis is on investigating any suspicious or high-risk transactions to determine if there is improper activity involved and to determine if there is any risk to the Credit Union or its members and taking appropriate loss mitigation steps.  This includes the investigation of fraud, forgery, theft, or abuse within members’ accounts and transactions on behalf of the Credit Union. 

This position will also work with the Fraud Manager to develop and provide education and awareness programs for staff and members which are essential components for Azura to take a proactive approach to identify the latest fraud trends in order to mitigate our exposure. Along with identifying and developing opportunities to leverage technology to work more efficiently and proactively at mitigating fraud and losses due to fraud.

Qualifications

• Three to five years similar or related experience

• Two year college degree or equivalent specialized training

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with a significant level of trust and diplomacy

• Ability to apply analytical thinking, judgement and deductive reasoning.

This is a full-time non-exempt position with benefits.
