Retail Manager

The Retail Manager will coach and develop branch staff to build and enhance member relationships by providing professional, prompt individualized financial service.  The Retail Manager will explore needs and educate members on Credit Union products and services that will benefit them, expand their financial relationship with the Credit Union and enhance the members’ financial life.

The Retail Manager takes proactive measures to grow and develop the branch and ensure that the staff provides a member experience that is Above and Beyond, while also directing and administering branch operations in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining exceptional financial relationships with members by ensuring all staff are acting in their best interest.

  • Coaches staff in order to improve branch productivity and meet established sales goals. Conducts regular sales meetings, reviews and analyzes branch activity reports and coaches to achieve desired results. Plans and implements sales tactics to assure that individual and branch sales goals are met.

  • Responsible for strategizing and planning for branch business development to meet established goals.  Becomes involved in appropriate community activities and Preferred Partners, particularly in and around their branch. Participates in yearly Market Plan Development.

  • Sees that personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs. Completes orientation of new employees in overall branch procedures. Cross trains staff to provide adequate branch coverage.

Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of related experience with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience. Financial institution experience a plus.

  • College degree preferred. Equivalent knowledge attained through on the job experience will be considered.

  • Proven Leadership and supervisory skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.

  • Professional appearance, dress and demeanor.

  • Ability to apply analytical thinking to recommend solutions involving multiple variables.

  • Ability to perform math skills including computation of ratios and percentages.
