Teacher Grants
For teachers who give it their all for their students, we see you. And this program supports your efforts.
Teachers are dedicated, innovative and essential to our communities
And let's not forget creative, especially when it comes to finding ways to deliver resources, tools and experiences to your students. Our Teacher Grants provide up to $300 to be used in various ways so that teachers can explore new educational opportunities and meet the diverse needs of their students.
Teacher Grant applications are accepted two times per year in the following time periods:
- January 1- March 30
- July 1- December 30
If you are an educator and Azura member, this program is for you.
Since we launched the Teacher Grant program, we have given more than $20,000 in grants to nearly 80 teachers who have influenced the lives of more than 5,700 students in Northeast Kansas. And we want to help you next!
- Local teachers may request up to $300 to benefit their classroom.
- One (1) request can be made per calendar year.
- Applicants must wait one year from the date of their last grant application before submitting a new application.
- Qualified applicants include teachers who are:
- Current Azura members, in good standing
- Requesting funds for a classroom in Northeast Kansas
- Maintaining an active account relationship with Azura, which includes items such as Direct Deposit, a Checking Account and/or a Loan balance for at least six months
There is no shortage of expenses to address in your classroom, and we receive a wide range of requests. However, there are some items this program does not fund:
- Some technology items, such as iPads and smart boards
- Travel expenses
- Food for classroom events
- Prizes for classroom events
- Items over $300
