Supporting Education, Empowering Futures: Azura’s Teacher Grant Program
At Azura Credit Union, we believe strong communities start in the classroom. Teachers go above and beyond every day to inspire, encourage, and prepare students for the future — often using their own resources to make learning meaningful. That’s why our Teacher Grant Program exists: to support educators with the tools they need to help students thrive.
This year, demand for the program reached new heights. In fact, we received so many applications that we expanded the program into two funding sessions — one at the beginning of the year and another at the end — ensuring more classrooms could benefit when they needed support most.
By the Numbers
Thanks to our members and commitment to community impact, here’s what the 2025 Teacher Grant Program achieved:
- 68 grant requests received
- 58 grants funded
- 6,395 students supported
- Over $19,500 committed
- $15,597 granted directly to classrooms
- 24 school districts and private schools supported across Topeka, Silver Lake, Olathe, Meriden, Holton, Burlingame, and Lawrence
These grants helped fund everything from classroom supplies and reading resources to STEM tools and hands-on learning experiences — making a direct, immediate impact where it matters most.
Meeting Teachers Where They Are
Splitting the grant cycle into two sessions allowed us to better align funding with real classroom needs — whether that meant preparing for the first day of the semester or refreshing learning environments for the final stretch of the year. The overwhelming response reinforced what we already know: educators are constantly innovating, adapting, and finding new ways to support students, and they deserve support too.
