AEF Fall 2025 Grant Recipients

The Azura Employee Foundation (AEF) is proud to announce their Fall 2025 grant recipients. Twice each year, Azura employees come together to support local nonprofit organizations that strengthen our communities. Through employee-driven giving, the Foundation provides meaningful funding to programs that make a lasting impact on children, families and individuals across Kansas and Missouri.

This fall, AEF awarded $10,000 to four organizations to support education, basic needs, safety, accessibility and workforce development. We are honored to highlight their important work.

Founded in 2018, AEF focuses on providing impactful donations to local organizations that operate within our field of membership. The foundation is 100% employee-led with funds raised through employee contributions. Funding decisions are determined by an eight-person committee with grants awarded twice a year, in spring and winter. Each year, AEF donates nearly $20,000 to our community; and since our inception, have donated over $135,500 to community organizations.

YWCA Northeast Kansas

Grant Amount: $2,500

YWCA Northeast Kansas continues its mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and strengthen communities through critical services and advocacy. AEF’s support will contribute to Operation BPN, a facility-improvement initiative designed to enhance safety, privacy, and accessibility. Planned updates include:

  • A secure badge-entry system for staff and visitor protection
  • A more private, trauma-informed front lobby environment
  • A safety shield for front-desk interactions
  • Repairs to ensure barrier-free access for individuals with mobility needs
  • Restroom accessibility reviews and improvements

These upgrades create a safer, more welcoming space for every person who enters the YWCA.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City – Olathe Unit

Grant Amount: $2,500

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City – Olathe Unit is helping youth stay engaged, confident, and academically successful through Project Learn, a structured program offering homework help, tutoring, and hands-on learning.

AEF funds will provide essential academic materials—school supplies, learning tools, enrichment resources, and upgraded educational software—to enhance daily literacy and math activities. This support helps ensure every child has the tools and environment they need to stay on track in school and build a strong foundation for future success.

Community Action, Inc.

Grant Amount: $2,500

Community Action, Inc. is dedicated to helping individuals and families with low income meet their most urgent needs. With this grant, the organization will expand support across several key programs, including:

  • Rent and utility assistance
  • Diaper and menstrual supply distribution
  • Commodity food support for seniors

These resources help local households maintain stability, stay housed, and access the essentials they need to thrive.

Inclusion Connections

Grant Amount: $2,500

Inclusion Connections is creating brighter futures for adults with developmental disabilities through its PawsAbilities Workforce Development Program. Participants gain real-world job experience by making products, working in retail and mobile shops, and receiving hands-on job coaching.

AEF’s grant will help expand employment support, transportation services, and ongoing coaching—giving participants the skills and stability needed for competitively paying jobs. By increasing economic self-sufficiency, PawsAbilities is helping individuals build confidence, independence, and long-term success.
