AEF Spring 2025 Grant Recipients
HappyBottoms will use the $3,000 grant to strengthen their ongoing efforts to support the 21,000 children in the Kansas City metropolitan area who experience diaper need (2020 Census). Access to diapers helps families return to work, allows children to attend daycare, reduces pediatric visits for diaper-related health issues, and eases stress and depression for caregivers.
Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging (JAAA) received a $3,000 grant from the Azura Employee Foundation (AEF). For nearly 40 years, JAAA has supported seniors and adults with disabilities by offering a wide range of programs designed to help individuals maintain their independence. With this grant, JAAA will continue providing essential services such as information and assistance, in-home care, case management, and more. These services are available to residents in Douglas, Jefferson, and Shawnee Counties in Kansas.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) plans to use the $3,000 grant to further its mission of ensuring that No Kid Sleeps on the Floor. At SHP, service goes beyond building beds—it’s about strengthening communities, transforming lives and creating meaningful opportunities for growth and learning. Each bed built is a powerful symbol of what can be accomplished when people unite with a common purpose and a heart for service.
The Team Blake Foundation received a $2,500 grant to support its mission of helping children battling serious illnesses. Created in memory of Blake Cazier, a brave young boy who inspired thousands during his fight with leukemia, the foundation honors his legacy by providing hope and support to families facing similar challenges.
