Business Accounts

To open an account, businesses do need to meet our field of membership requirements. A great rule of thumb is if you live, work or worship near one of our locations or surrounding Kansas counties you can join. There are a lot of other membership eligibility options.
Membership Details 

When you come to open an account you will need to bring the following information:

  • Authorized Signers on account: each one will need to provide: Name, Date of Birth, Address, TIN or SSN, and a photo government identification. 
  • Business Documents, vary based on type of business. 

Association/Club/Organization/Informal Group
These unincorporated, informal associations, organizations may set up business accounts to hold funds donated or dedicated towards a common benefit of their group.

Business Documents:

  • Personal identifying information for authorized signers, as listed above
  • Meeting Minutes, designating account be opened and authorized signers
  • IRS document, designating EIN. Available at www.irs.gov 

Sole Proprietorship
A sole proprietorship account is a business account that is owned by an individual business owner or a married couple in business alone. 

Business Documents:

  • Personal identifying information for authorized signers, as listed above  
  • IRS Document, if using an EIN instead of your social security number

Limited Liability Company (LLC)
A LLC is a formed by one or more individuals and/or business entities through a written operating agreement. The operating agreement will determine who are the managing members of the business.

Business Documents:

  • Personal identifying information for authorized signers, as listed above
  • Articles of Organization,State of Kansas LLC Application
  • Operating Agreement 
  • IRS Document designating the EIN, if applicable 

Partnerships
A partnership account is held by two or more persons.  The partnership is registered with the Secretary of State designating if they are a General Partnership, Limited Partnership, or Limited Liability Partnership.

Corporations 
A corporation is a formal business structure created designating a variety of rights and privileges and is oversaw by a Board of Directors.

  • Personal identifying information for authorized signers, as listed above
  • Articles of Incorporation, must have file number stamp
  • IRS document designating the EIN
  • Meeting Minutes, specifically designating signatories on the account
