Financial Services Manager

The Financial Services Manager will coach and develop the Financial Associate team to build and enhance member relationships by providing professional, prompt individualized financial service.  The Financial Services Manager will be accountable for setting a sales plan for each associate and ensuring plan success through consistent on-the-spot and one-on-one coaching.

Job duties

  • Continually coaches staff in order to improve department productivity and meet established goals. Conducts regular sales meetings, reviews and analyzes department activity reports and coaches to achieve desired results. Individualizes coaching needs.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining exceptional financial relationships with members by ensuring all staff are acting in their best interest. Includes looking at members’ entire financial picture and promptly resolving all requests and questions.
  • Ensures department operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies and procedures and within legal and regulatory requirements. Stays current on operational procedures and reliably communicates updates to staff.
  • Ensures personnel are well-trained in all phases of their respective jobs. Completes orientation of new employees in overall department procedures. 
  • Tracks individual progress and conducts timely performance appraisals. Works together with Human Resources to formulate and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversees staff scheduling and practices efficient labor utilization. Administers time and attendance for assigned staff including approval of all sick, vacation, and overtime.  Approves timecards and following proper payroll timelines and procedures.
  • Keeps management informed of department activities, progress toward established objectives and of any significant issues. Requests assistance when necessary.
  • Acts as a Financial Associate within established policies and limits.

 

Qualifications

 

  • At least 5 years of related experience in a financial institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
  • College degree preferred. Equivalent knowledge attained through on job experience will be considered.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail
